Archers in Motion, LLC (“Archers in Motion,” “AIM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to being transparent about how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the Archers in Motion mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

Archers in Motion is an archery-focused community and discovery platform designed to help people learn more, shoot better, connect with other archers, receive personalized guidance, and discover archery events, shops, ranges, and other opportunities.

This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and disclose it, and the choices available to you.

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

 

1. Information We Collect

The information AIM collects depends on the features you use and the information you choose to provide.

A. Account and Profile Information

When you create or maintain an AIM account, we may collect information such as:

• Your name or display name

• Username or account handle

• Email address

• AIM or Firebase user/account identifier

• Profile photograph

• Profile background or cover photograph

• State, general location, or other approximate geographic information you choose to provide

• Biography or other profile information

• Account preferences and settings

 

This information is used to create and maintain your account, display your profile, identify your contributions within the community, authenticate you, personalize certain features, and provide the Services.

 

B. Community and User-Generated Content

AIM is a community-driven platform. We collect content and activity you choose to create through the Services, which may include:

• Questions and discussions

• Titles and written descriptions

• Comments and responses

• Photos or other media you upload where supported

• Bullseyes, votes, and other contribution feedback

• Accepted answers

• Reports or moderation submissions

• Event submissions

• Other content you intentionally provide through community features

 

Community content is a core part of AIM and may be visible to other users or the public depending on the feature and your account settings.

You should not include information in public posts, comments, profile fields, or other public areas that you do not want others to see.

 

C. AIM Guide and Hunting Information

If you use AIM Guide, the hunting dashboard, tags, season planning, or related personalized features, AIM may collect information you voluntarily provide about your archery or hunting journey.

 

Depending on the features you use, this may include:

• Experience level

• State or hunting jurisdiction

• County or general locality

• Resident or nonresident status

• Hunting methods or interests

• Land-access information

• Hunting units, zones, or other geographic selections

• License, stamp, permit, or credential status

• Tags or tag-related information

• Tag numbers you choose to record

• Season information

• Harvest records

• Harvest dates

• Species and related harvest details

• Check-in or confirmation information you choose to record

• Roadmap progress

• Guide answers and preferences

• Goals, interests, and other information used to determine what guidance is relevant to you

 

AIM uses this information to personalize the Guide, determine which information may apply to your situation, organize your hunting dashboard, help you understand potential next steps, and provide relevant archery and hunting resources.

Guide and hunting information associated with your private account is not treated as public community content unless you intentionally share that information through a public feature.

 

AIM Guide is intended to organize and help interpret available information. It does not replace official regulations, licensing authorities, hunter education requirements, professional instruction, or other authoritative sources. Users remain responsible for confirming current laws and requirements with the appropriate governing agency.

 

D. Photos and Media

AIM may collect photographs or media that you intentionally upload, including:

• Profile photographs

• Profile background images

• Scorecard or target photographs

• Images attached to community content where that functionality is available

• Other images you intentionally submit through the Services

 

Uploaded media may be processed, resized, compressed, and stored using our service providers in order to display and operate the applicable feature.

 

E. Event and Place Information

When you interact with AIM Events or other discovery features, AIM may process information necessary to display archery events, clubs, ranges, shops, and related locations.

 

If you submit an event or place, we may collect the information you provide as part of that submission.

 

AIM may display factual information about third-party businesses, organizations, locations, shoots, tournaments, and events. Selecting external website, source, or directions links may open a third-party website or mapping application. Information subsequently collected by that third party is governed by its own privacy policy and practices.

 

F. Approximate Location Information

AIM may collect or store approximate location information that you provide, such as your state, jurisdiction, county, or locality.

 

This information may be used to personalize AIM Guide, identify relevant regulations or seasons, and show useful events, places, or information for your area.

 

AIM's current core Services do not require AIM to continuously collect or store your device's precise GPS location.

 

If you choose to open directions or another mapping service, that external service may separately request or process your precise location according to its own privacy practices.

 

G. Push Notifications and Device Information

If you enable notifications, AIM uses Firebase Cloud Messaging and related technologies to deliver push notifications.

 

For this purpose, AIM and its service providers may collect or process:

• A push-notification or Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token

• An app installation identifier

• Device platform

• Device model

• Operating system and version

• Application identifier and version

• Language

• Time zone

• Notification permission status

• Token creation, update, or last-seen information

 

AIM may associate a push-notification token with your AIM account so that notifications intended for you can be delivered to your device.

 

You can control notification permissions through the settings provided by your device.

 

H. Authentication Information

AIM uses Firebase Authentication to manage account authentication.

 

Depending on how you sign in, information may also be received from authentication providers such as Apple or Google. This may include information such as an account identifier, name, or email address according to the permissions you provide and the provider's policies.

 

AIM does not receive your Apple ID or Google account password.

 

I. Technical and Diagnostic Information

AIM and its service providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Services.

 

This may include:

• Device and operating-system information

• App version

• Application or bundle identifier

• IP address in connection with server or Cloud Function requests

• Firebase SDK and platform information

• Function invocation information

• Network or connection information

• Technical errors

• Limited diagnostic or service-performance metadata

• Security and authentication information

 

This information is used primarily for app functionality, security, reliability, troubleshooting, and service-quality analysis.

 

AIM does not currently use this technical information to build advertising profiles about its users.

 

J. Website, Waitlist, Feedback, and Support Information

When you use the Archers in Motion website, join a waitlist, respond to a questionnaire, request beta access, contact us, or submit feedback, we may collect information you voluntarily provide.

 

This may include:

• First and last name

• Email address

• State

• Beta-testing interest

• Survey or questionnaire responses

• Archery interests or experience

• Feedback

• Support inquiries

• Other information included in your message

 

We use this information to respond to you, evaluate interest in AIM, improve the Services, manage testing programs, and communicate updates you have requested.

 

Our website and its hosting or form-processing providers may also process ordinary browser, device, IP-address, cookie, or similar technical information necessary to operate the website.

 

K. Search Information

AIM processes the search terms you enter when you search community members, questions, discussions, or other content so that the requested search can be performed.

 

AIM does not currently maintain a persistent user-level history of your in-app searches for behavioral advertising purposes.

 

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information in several ways:

Information you provide directly. This includes account information, profile information, Guide answers, community content, photographs, hunting information, event submissions, website forms, feedback, and support requests.

 

Information generated through your use of AIM. This includes account identifiers, contribution activity, notification records, Guide progress, votes, accepted answers, and other information needed to provide features you use.

 

Information collected automatically by our technology providers. Certain technical, device, authentication, diagnostic, and notification information is processed by the infrastructure and SDKs used to operate AIM.

 

Information received from third-party authentication providers. If you use Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or another supported authentication method, we may receive the information that provider is permitted to share with AIM.

 

3. How We Use Information

We use information collected through AIM to:

• Create, authenticate, secure, and maintain user accounts

• Operate community discussions and questions

• Display profiles and contributions

• Deliver AIM Guide and personalized hunting information

• Maintain hunting dashboards, tags, roadmap progress, and related features

• Provide relevant events, places, resources, and discovery features

• Store and display photographs and user-submitted media

• Deliver in-app and push notifications

• Provide search functionality

• Respond to support requests and feedback

• Moderate content and enforce community standards

• Investigate abuse, fraud, misuse, or security incidents

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve reliability of the Services

• Comply with legal obligations

• Protect the rights, safety, and integrity of AIM, our users, and others

 

AIM does not use personal information collected through the app for third-party behavioral advertising.

 

4. Product Personalization

Certain AIM features use information you provide to determine what content or guidance is most useful to you.

 

For example, a user's state, hunting jurisdiction, residency, locality, hunting experience, season, credentials, or other Guide answers may affect which information AIM displays This personalization occurs to provide AIM's functionality and make the Services more relevant to the individual user. It is not used to create third-party advertising profiles.

 

5. How We Share Information

AIM does not sell your personal information.

 

AIM does not share your personal information with data brokers for advertising purposes.

 

AIM does not use personal information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for targeted advertising or advertising measurement.

 

We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances.

Service Providers

 

We use third-party service providers to operate AIM.

 

These currently include Google Firebase services used for functions such as:

• Authentication

• Cloud-hosted database services

• File and media storage

• Cloud Functions and backend processing

• Push-notification delivery

 

We may also use Apple and Google for supported account authentication.

 

These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services and according to their applicable contractual obligations, privacy commitments, and legal requirements.

 

We expect service providers that process AIM user information on our behalf to protect that information consistent with applicable privacy and security requirements.

 

Public Community Features

Information you intentionally publish through community features may be visible to other AIM users or the public.

 

For example, your username, profile photograph, questions, discussions, comments, contribution activity, or other publicly submitted information may be visible alongside your contributions.

 

Information that you publish publicly should not be considered private.

 

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental requests

• Enforce our Terms or policies

• Detect or prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, or illegal activity

• Protect the rights, property, or safety of AIM, our users, or others

 

Business Transactions

If Archers in Motion is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and appropriate privacy protections.

 

6. Advertising and Tracking

AIM does not currently operate an advertising network within the app and does not use personal information collected through the app for cross-context behavioral advertising.

AIM does not sell personal information to data brokers.

 

AIM does not use your name, email address, approximate location, profile information, user-generated content, photographs, account identifier, or device notification identifier to track you across applications or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

 

If AIM's advertising, analytics, or tracking practices materially change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and applicable App Store privacy disclosures before or in connection with those changes and obtain consent where required.

 

7. Data Linked to Your AIM Account

Some information is intentionally associated with your AIM account because the Services could not function properly otherwise.

 

Examples include your:

• Name and username

• Email address

• Account identifier

• Profile information

• Approximate location information you provide

• Community contributions

• Uploaded media

• AIM Guide and hunting information

• Push-notification registration information

 

Associating this information with your account allows AIM to provide personalized features, maintain your contributions, synchronize information across sessions, secure your account, and deliver notifications.

 

This association does not mean the information is used for advertising tracking.

 

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements.

 

Different types of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose.

 

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, de-identify, or otherwise remove identifying associations from it.

Temporary operational or security records may be retained for a limited period after an account or related information has been deleted when reasonably necessary for system integrity, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or completion and verification of a deletion request.

 

9. Account and Data Deletion

AIM provides an in-app process for requesting deletion of your account.

 

You can initiate account deletion through the account/settings functionality available within the AIM app.

 

For security, AIM may require you to authenticate or reauthenticate before an account deletion request can be initiated.

 

Once an account deletion request is processed, AIM deletes or permanently de-identifies information associated with your account as appropriate to the type of information and the rights of other users.

 

This may include deletion of:

• Your Firebase authentication account

• Your private profile information

• Uploaded profile and account media

• Private account records

• Notification records

• Device notification tokens

• Scorecard and related private records

• Event submissions associated with your account where appropriate

• Other personal account information

 

For community content, AIM is designed to remove or destroy content authored by the deleting user while preserving only the minimum non-identifying structural information necessary where deletion of an entire record would also destroy content belonging to other users.

 

For example, a discussion may contain responses authored by multiple people. AIM may retain a non-identifying structural shell for the discussion so that another user's contribution is not deleted solely because the original account was removed. The deleting user's identifying information and authored content are deleted, replaced with a deletion marker, or otherwise de-identified as appropriate.

 

Certain temporary deletion-processing records may remain for a limited period to confirm that a deletion request was successfully completed and to support security or operational integrity.

 

Account deletion is intended to be permanent and may not be reversible after processing begins.

10. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, or other information about how your data is processed.

 

You can update certain profile and account information directly through AIM.

You can control push-notification permissions through your device settings.

 

You may choose not to provide optional profile, Guide, media, or community information. However, certain information is necessary to create an account or use specific features.

 

You may request deletion of your AIM account through the app.

 

You may also contact us at info@archersinmotion.com with a privacy-related request.

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests in order to protect your account and personal information.

 

11. User-Generated Content and Privacy

AIM is designed to encourage archers to exchange information and help one another.

 

Community posts, questions, discussions, comments, profile information, and other information you intentionally make public may be viewed, copied, discussed, or otherwise interacted with by other users.

 

Please use care when deciding what information to make public.

 

Do not post private information such as passwords, financial account information, government identification numbers, private license numbers, home addresses, or other information you do not want publicly available.

 

AIM cannot control information another person independently records or saves after you have intentionally made it public.

 

12. Third-Party Links, Events, and Services

AIM may contain links to websites, event hosts, clubs, archery shops, ranges, government agencies, mapping applications, or other services that AIM does not own or control.

 

AIM may also display event, place, regulatory, or other factual information originating from publicly available or third-party sources.

 

When you leave AIM or interact directly with a third-party service, that service's privacy policy and terms apply.

 

This Privacy Policy does not govern the independent privacy practices of third-party websites or services.

 

13. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

 

These include authentication controls, database security rules, restricted access to private account information, server-side processing for certain sensitive account operations, and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Services.

 

No online service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and should notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

 

14. Children's Privacy

AIM is not directed to children under 13 years of age.

 

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization where required by law.

 

If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

15. International and State Privacy Rights

Privacy laws differ depending on where you live.

 

Residents of certain U.S. states or other jurisdictions may have additional rights concerning access to, correction of, deletion of, portability of, or restrictions on the use of personal information.

 

Where applicable law grants such rights, AIM will respond to valid privacy requests as required.

 

AIM does not discriminate against users for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law.

 

Because AIM does not sell personal information or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, AIM does not currently offer personal information for sale or targeted-advertising purposes.

 

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as AIM develops, new features are introduced, our service providers change, or legal requirements evolve.

 

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

 

If a change materially affects how we collect, use, or share personal information, we may provide additional notice through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method when required.

 

Your continued use of the Services after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective is subject to the updated policy and applicable law.
